Fiume Adda – Castione Andevenno

When the river becomes a “playground”

The spirit of adventure of those who live sport in the open air

Among rapids, splashes and currents, the Adda river offers pure emotion, fun and energy like no other. Exploring it – by kayak, rafting, packraft or hydrospeed – is a unique opportunity to discover Valtellina from a privileged perspective, crossing spectacular landscapes in total harmony with the elements. Some expeditions allow you to admire the terraced vineyards of Valtellina Nebbiolo and the majestic peaks surrounding the valley.
There is something for everyone: soft experiences for beginners and genuine challenges among waves, rapids and rocky passages for thrill-seekers. All you need to do is let yourself be guided by expert, well-equipped instructors, and be carried along by the cold, crystal-clear waters of the Adda.

For those who prefer drier pursuits, there is golf at the nearby Golf Club in Caiolo, or biking. By bicycle, you can pedal along quiet roads and scenic cycle paths through vineyards and orchards, or venture onto more demanding trails through the woods or in search of ancient villages.
Outdoor sport is the perfect meeting point between body and nature — an experience that, in Valtellina more than anywhere, never ceases to amaze.

The secret of the fruttai

Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG is the first Italian dry red passito to earn DOCG status, obtained in 2003. Born from a selection of the finest grapes, dried for around three months in dry, ventilated rooms known as fruttai. A wine of great structure and intense aromas.
